Up-Scaling workshop at MANAGE

The complete CCKN-IA team, along with SAMETI representatives from Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tamilnadu and Uttar Pradesh met on the 16th and 17th of March at the premises of MANAGE in Hyderabad, which was inaugurated by Mrs. V. Usha Rani, IAS Director General of MANAGE. The objective of the workshop was to discuss up-scaling options for the CCKN-IA approach beyond the piloted areas in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Odisha. Experiences were shared, costs for operational implementation calculated and “new” states interested in this approach counseled in best ways to improve the efficiency of climate change sensitive extension systems. This opportunity was also taken by participants from NABARD and the Soil protection and rehabilitation for food security Programme India to share their experience in utilizing digital tools for improving extension systems, targeting at soil improvement.
